PURPOSE:
This position is an opportunity for the successful candidate to build a robust equal employment opportunity program and work closely with campus department managers to obtain a highly qualified, diverse workforce. Under the general direction of the Director of Employee Relations, EEO, and ADA, this position is the hands-on administrator responsible for developing, managing, and implementing the full-range of comprehensive employment compliance, diversity and equity programs including educational programs on fair employment practices and nondiscrimination.  Incumbent functions as the University's Compliance Officer for Affirmative Action, Title VII, FEHA, ADA/Section 504, the California Whistle Blower Act, the Conflict of Interest Code, the CSU Nepotism Policy, and related CSU Executive Orders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
  • the principles, laws, and regulations related to fair employment, affirmative action, reasonable accommodation and non-discrimination; 
  • personnel and employment policies, procedures, practices, and applicable laws; and effective supervision techniques.
Skills: 
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers including word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
·         SALARY:
·         The anticipated hiring salary is between $85,000 and $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
