Although stereotypes can be harmful, it is true that Russia is one of the highest-ranked countries in the world in alcohol consumption. The country’s love of vodka is also its  leading cause of death, from liver disease and alcohol poisoning to fatal accidents and crimes. Since it’s such an integral part of their culture, there are many  rules of etiquette surrounding drinking in Russia. For instance, you can’t place a glass of alcohol back on the table after a toast—it should be bottom’s up and empty. Arriving late for dinner means that you have to drink a full glass of vodka, no questions asked, as you’ll have to catch up with the rest. Between the first and second shots, there must be no interruptions whatsoever. Lastly, you should never make the mistake of offering a toast with an empty glass. If you do, you’ll have to drink the entire bottle.
Russians also love to swear, but their custom is steeped in superstition. It is said that when you curse another person’s health in a manner without malice, you should spit three times over your left shoulder. This symbolically spits in the eye of the devil, preventing bad omens or a temptation of fate. If the curse is made in writing, you should write the guttural sound, “Tfu, tfu, tfu!”

1.  Diwali

2.  Ganesh Chaturthi

The spectacular eleven day Ganesh Chaturthi festival honors the birth of the beloved Hindu elephant-headed god, Lord GaneshaThe start of the festival sees huge, elaborately crafted statutes of Ganesha installed in homes and podiums, which have been especially constructed and beautifully decorated. At the end of the festival, the statutes are paraded through the streets, accompanied by much singing and dancing, and then submerged in the ocean


3.  Holi
Holi is a two day festival that also celebrates the victory of good over evil, as well as the abundance of the spring harvest season. It's commonly referred to as the "Festival of Colors". People exuberantly throw colored powder and water all over each other, have parties, and dance under water sprinklers. Bhang (a paste made from cannabis plants) is also traditionally consumed during the celebrations. Holi is a very carefree festival that's great fun to participate in if you 

4.  Navaratri, Dussehra, and Durga Puja

The first nine days of this festival are known asNavaratri, and are filled with dance in honor of the Mother Goddess. The tenth day, called Dussehra, is devoted to celebrating the defeat of the demon king Ravana by Lord Ram It also coincides with the victory of the revered warrior  Goddess Durga over the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura.
In eastern India, the festival is observed as Durga Puja. Huge statues of the Goddess are made and immersed in the holy Ganges River. The festival is an extremely social and theatrical event, with drama, dance, and cultural performances held throughout the country.

5.  Onam

Onam is the biggest festival of the year in Kerala. This ten day harvest festival marks the homecoming of the mythical King Mahabali It’s a festival rich in culture and heritage. People strikingly decorate the ground in front of their houses with flowers arranged in beautiful patterns to welcome the King. The festival is also celebrated with new clothes, feasts served on banana leaves, dancing, sports, games, and snake boat races.

6.  Krishna Janmashtami/Govinda

Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Govinda, commemorates the birthday of  Lord Krishna An extremely fun part of the festival involves people climbing on each other and forming a human pyramid to try and reach and break open clay pots filled with curd, which have been strung up high from buildings.

7.  Pushkar Camel Fair

An astonishing 50,000 camels converge on the tiny desert town of Pushkar, in India's state of Rajasthan for the Pushkar Camel Fair. For five days, the camels are dressed up, paraded, shaved, entered into beauty contests, raced, and of course traded. It's a great opportunity to witness an old, traditional style Indian festival.

8.Keral Temple Festivals

The south Indian state of Kerala is filled with temples that are renowned for their exotic temple festivals. The large processions of elephants, resplendent in ornaments, are the main attractions of these festivals. The processions are accompanied by colorful floats, drummers and other musicians

The Industry Participation Advocate (IPA) was established to maximise the economic benefit from Government expenditure.     They will also have to build strong long-term relationships with the Partners in order to secure new revenue streams whilst developing Channel Partners in a number of areas by delivering on a number of strategic objectives.

    We are looking for experience in:-
  • Managing and developing channel relationships at all levels
  • Administering all business in a professional, structured accurate and prompt manner
  • Maintaining and promoting the brand and customer experience
  • Developing the annual account plan 
  • Managing day-to-day operations (resolving customer care issues, stock management and commission payments)
  • Being accountable for the achievement of consumer acquisition targets through the retailer’s store and digital estate, within a specified acquisition budget
  • To accurately forecast all costs, volumes and revenues in line with Vodafone systems and requirements
  • Managing and developing  account relationships with Partners’ buying, marketing, stock and finance team to promote Vodafone products and services in line with strategic goals
  • Working closely with Marketing to manage promotional activity within specified budgets to drive sales through retailers business, while building brand share and executing enhanced in store presence that deliver excellent end customer experience
